We aim to despatch orders as soon as possible but at busy times such as Christmas or where the items required are not regularly available it may take a little longer. All delivery charges are inclusive of packaging and handling costs. Your order will be carefully packaged and despatched with our preferred carrier but we are happy to provide a quotation for those urgent items needed yesterday !!


Payment for all goods is accepted by secure online credit card processing, with security assured by WorldPay. All transactions are encrypted using 128 bit SSL security system. You may also pay by bank transfer or cheque, just ask for our banking details and in each case the funds must be cleared before your order is despatched. All transactions are charged in either UK Pounds Sterling (GBP) however we do also offer the facility of accepting payment in either Euros or United States Dollars. 


Deliveries are subject to local Customs Authorities regulations who may randomly select packages for opening and checking. Expatboxes cannot be held responsible for the actions of any Customs Department or for reimbursing the cost of the goods or carriage should local authorities choose to confiscate or seize any items. Only under exceptional circumstances will Expatboxes accept responsible for import duties and taxes which may be charged, over which we have no control. Customs policies vary widely from country to country and we advise customers to contact their local Customs office for further information. It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure that all products ordered are acceptable and allowed in the country they are being delivered to. 


All goods offered are subject to availability. Very occasionally a particular item may not be available. To ensure speedy despatch of your order Expatboxes reserves the right to substitute an item with a similar item of equal or higher value.


We take great care to package every order carefully and you should receive it in perfect condition and only under exceptional circumstances will we accept liability for breakages or damage. In the event of any recipient being unavailable, out or non contactable we reserve the right to retain the cost of shipping and upon return of the goods in a state statisfactory to Expatboxes, will only then make a discretionary refund.

Force Majeure

While every effort will be made to meet customers’ orders, cancellations or variations may be unavoidable as a result of Act of God, strike, lockout, war, industrial action, fire, flood, drought or other causes beyond the control of Expatboxes.

Returns and refund policy

Under the Distance Selling Regulations you have a right to cancel your order for any item purchased for a full refund. This does not apply to items personalised, made to your specification; audio/video recordings, software unsealed; items which cannot be returned for hygiene reasons e.g. food; perishable goods or periodicals / magazines. To cancel you can contact us in writing within three days of delivery of your items and the company will refund the purchase price of the goods to the customer upon our receipt of the goods back in full and unchanged. The costs of shipping will not be refunded. These terms and conditions do not affect your statutory rights.
